Timothy Cronin is a litigator who advises clients in complex commercial, product liability, toxic tort, and environmental disputes. His practice focuses on helping companies navigate high-stakes litigation and regulatory challenges involving technical, scientific, and environmental issues.
Tim has represented a Fortune 500 chemical company in matters involving allegations of groundwater contamination brought by state and federal regulatory agencies across multiple jurisdictions. He works closely with clients and litigation teams on matters requiring extensive factual development, management of large technical records, coordination of expert evidence, and strategic case execution.
Tim assists clients through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial support. He approaches each matter with a focus on efficiency, thoughtful risk assessment, and achieving favorable outcomes for clients in complex disputes.
In addition to his commercial and environmental litigation practice, Tim maintains an active commitment to pro bono service, representing individuals in civil rights matters including claims involving Eighth Amendment violations. Before entering full-time litigation practice, he gained experience in personal injury and mergers and acquisitions matters.
Tim earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, where he was a member of the National Trial Team, and earned his B.A. from DePaul University. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and is an Honoree of the New York State Bar Association's Empire State Counsel Program for Pro Bono Work.
Tim is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association's Toxic Torts and Environmental Law Committee.
